Death Metal is Christian

A "satanic" Death Metal band may be more Christian than a modern liberal Christian. Specifically, they are closer to the truth and may be closer to finding truth than a liberal Christian who lies and twists the meaning of Christianity to fit secular leftist agendas.

The modern left lives a life of twisted and deceitful lies, hiding every day from truth and obeying the greatest liars. The left takes claim to the word "good," but inverts its essence.

The counter-culture of metal begins as a reaction against secular leftism disguised as Christianity. The leftist version of Christianity being fundamentally anti-Christian and inverted, the follower of metal is rejecting the inversion and thus rejecting the lies.

Death metal does not necessarily lead to a greater pursuit of truth or goodness, but it may be a step in the right direction. Seeing the secular left hide from truth, many Death Metal bands sought to reestablish truth first - that is, in accepting once again the reality of death, misery and suffering that remain fundamental aspects of worldly life.

The modern world shuns reality and fills their lives with pleasant distractions, while the metal counter-culture youth instinctively rejects what they know in their heart to be lies. This is a rejection of appearances and an inversion of appearances. Where the left attempts to conceal their lies behind a mirage of good, the metal culture may conceal truth (and thus real goodness) by appearing bad. This is a direct reaction against and inversion of the internal values of leftism - a path that may potentially lead to a rekindling of truth.

What is life?
When you die, you'll see a dawn of realize
When you fall you will rise

Your conscious is eternal
No need of the flesh
Feel the spirits around
Enter the unknown

Enter The Depths Of Eternal Darkness, Therion

Many rebellious youth fail in fully rejecting the lies of appearances and taking the next step towards seeking good, but it is an irony of our twisted age that self-professed anti-Christians may be closer to finding Christian truth than self-proclaimed Christians who have inverted and twisted the meaning of their religion to conform to true evil. A defining trait of our age is hypocrisy.

Hidden Truth

It is such in our society that most answers broadcast publicly are to our detriment and the direct benefit of others. Most people unfortunately accept the most promoted lies as truth, for they come from "authority" and are so commonly stated that they appear true.

The truth must be sought and is not what is given today. What is given is spider's poison, meant to paralyze and provide food. The authority is false and built on lies: it is a matter of mutually reinforcing foolishness. Fools believe so others are fooled - were but a nation to repent it would disappear overnight.

Do not bother exchanging words with liars and fools, they only seek to delay and mislead. To begin seeking you must first ignore the lies and distractions.

Material Quantity ≠ Spiritual Good

No amount of quantity in any given dimension transfers to another dimension.

We live in a time of quantity in the material realm and cast an uncomfortable eye towards historic times of material limitation, though they were more spiritual and intelligent. Politically, we count votes. Economically, we count units of money. Nationally, we count population and GDP.

No amount of votes can transition dimensionally to any quantity of good decision. Even the smallest amount of good decision is infinitely superior to infinite numbers of votes. So to is one saint infinitely superior to billions of ignorant consumers.

Here we find the meaning behind the rich finding it difficult to enter Heaven. Being rich assumes a focus on gaining wealth, however infinite wealth will never equate any amount of spiritual good. Even should we collect the entire world's wealth, should we ignore the spirit we will find at death how poor we are.

Imagine a one dimensional line. No matter how long the line extends in length, even infinitely, it will never cross-dimensions to also contain within it width.

No matter how much wealth our age succeeds in collecting, or population it succeeds in creating, or technology it succeeds in inventing these things may not cross dimensions to any amount of spiritual good. These things will never, in themselves, lead to Heaven. To find Heaven we must seek spiritual truth, though we moderns may start with little, for in this dimension all our possessions account for nothing.

Direction

The modern life is destructive to and an obstacle to seeking good. Specifically, the mentality it promotes and reinforces through habit is harmful and false. We are a society of form fillers and legal definition. This might give an impression to those seeking God to expect a strict legal definition - check box A, B, C, and sign in duplicate.

The modern entitled individual also finds the idea of Heaven and Hell unjust. They think it is not fair. If there is a Heaven, they should be entitled, no matter what their choices in life - because all our choices are equal. If they do seek Heaven, they would like to simply pay the membership dues or submit the annual insurance payment and then turn the TV back on and forget all about it.

These notions are wrong and misleading. It is important to clear them from the mind and the hidden truth of Heaven and Hell open itself to the seeker.

An old metaphor in regards to guiding a ship or traveling to a destination is apt here. Where do you want to go? What do you seek?

What God offers is the ultimate in justice and fairness: He offers that we should find what we seek. Even in the material sense: what hope do we have of going somewhere if it is not our goal and we do not actively pursue it? Or even that we are at least open to the truth? Only those who seek truth may and will find it.

Now if we imagine a man who wanders aimlessly, not seeking any goal, maybe he just rapes and destroys whatever he happens to find during his randomness. What then can we expect his life to amount to but Hell? If one accepts the idea of an eternal soul, a soul that never sought the good can never find it: it will find eternal separation from the truth, from God, it will forever be mired in Hell. This is both just and the only way it could be.

Even for those who do not accept the eternal nature of the soul, any slight sensitivity to life may recognize that every action resounds eternally. The choice made each moment is an eternal choice. A life mired in separation from good and truth will leave nothing but an echo of Hell for all eternity.

The direction you choose determine what you shall find, in this life and forever.

Why Free Choice? To Love

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
By created in God's image, this includes in meaning our ability to sub-create within His universe. As He can create, so we can sub-create. God is what is. From a human perspective, we can say He has the ability of free choice. He gave this to us.

So then we may ask "what is the purpose of free choice?" - that is, why did God not simply create us perfect in love of Him. The Christian answer is: there was a better time, but now we are fallen. Yet we can still ask - why was the ability to fall even part of our creation?
Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind.
So in this command we find the answer. Only beings capable of sub-creation, choice and thought are truly capable of love. To chose to wholly love - to wholly direct ones being towards good - needs a being created in the image of God, beings capable of free choice.

This is why then we see cold, indifferent people as soulless.

The Fundamental Absurdity of Democracy

The fundamental absurdity of democracy is that it relies on something lesser to validate something superior. This is impossible, no matter how many lesser things you stack together you only have a lot of lesser things. To validate the superior thing, the source must either come from equals (a governing body of superiors) or from an even higher source, namely God.

Even the Democratic myth of universal equality is self-evidently false here, because once elected the leadership is clearly treated and given the prestige of superiority. They deny the superior while pretending the lesser have some immaterial power to create the superior. Unseen and hidden are the machinations of "voting" that it can somehow create superiority out of inferiority. What can we call this but false magic? Or perhaps merely absurdity.

Renewing Good Men

The worship of technology has forgotten that man remains the most important component.

No matter how grand the cities we build nor how large the pile of wealth we save, all may be wasted in a generation without good men renewing and directing their lives in accordance with the good. In the past century we have tossed aside thousands of years of wisdom in exchange for lysenkoism and blank slate theories that ignore reality in order to favor the politically expedient goals of destructive revolutionaries.

The answer is not in technology, nor is it in beautiful works of art, nor even the greatest works of literature. If we leave behind only imbeciles and the corrupt to interpret these, they will be misunderstood and subverted.

In the end, we must place our faith in the permanence and insolubility of God. We only have one way forward: a leadership divinely ordained from above, and a distinctive hierarchical system that continues to renew, promote, and protect the best in men.

Disintegration

"Once the Duke rebels against the authority of the Emperor, the Duke's vassals, no longer held by the Imperial chain of authority, rebel against the Duke."

Remove God and it all falls apart.

Two Perspectives on Morality

Profound:
Morality is first the regulation of our inner world and only secondarily the regulation of our outer world. All outer wars are outworkings of inner wars. All outer works are outworkings of inner works, both good and evil.
Stumbling into the abyss:
Modern materialism reduces morality to rules morality to rules for regulating our outer world, visible society, because this outer world is the only one it believes in or cares about. This is like propping up a corpse, pushing it in the right direction and wondering why it doesn't work. It has no soul.

The Weight of Nothingness

Utter realization of the total absence of meaning or purpose is a suffocating weight to bear. Accepting the essential and total existence of nothing has an ultimate end in madness and despair. The modern fills his life with pleasant mental distractions to obscure visions where his path leads. He proudly announces his willingness to let go, to fall into the abyss because he truly believes there is no other choice, no turning back. His mind can not truly accept the horror.

With nothing and nothing - no action, love, creation, feeling or joy having any substance. Ultimately they are all totally empty, for we are nothing but random particles organized for reproduction, but even this makes no sense because ultimately reproduction and evolution too are absurd and serve no purpose. Every potential for truth is cynically cast aside: "lies and illusions."

Ironically the modern can not mentally handle the truth. He knows his mind was not built to accept such conclusions, but his philosophy leaves him no other choice. There then is nothing to do, but flood our mind with pleasant illusions until the abyss swallows our material presence and mental processes. Mere particles bouncing around and creating a pleasant illusion out of essential and total nothingness.

Does his soul scream at this? Worse than hell - not even such a profound structure - he has a total, all-encompasing darkness that blots and casts a shadow over any hope of life. Eventually the universe will collapse on itself again, and nothingness will resound eternally. What then does anything matter? It does not, can not, and even the question poses a problem, for any attempt at anything is absurd.

Why bother? Majestic kingdoms of pure and total beauty. But they were mere fools, for the wise modern casts aside all illusions and knows beauty does not exists. We may as well make grotesque incomprehensible figures that fit sad humor, because nothing is more and nothing is less. The greatest peace in this vision is the utter and total equality of all matter and all nothingness, for nothing can be made or thought or done that is not mere absurdity of incomprehensible thoughts that have no truth (none can exist).

There are some who chose to think, to see where the blind are walking. To turn aside from the path of emptiness and seek the remythologization of life. We few may seek and never give up hope to find truth, beauty and love. We see where the modern is afraid to look, at the root of and end of insane and false beliefs. The cloud of lies may be pierced: only two choices to be made. We accept hope and reject their utter despair.

Why Charity Fails

We have fostered among an underclass of unmotivated and unintelligent people the false notion of equality. Not only is the vote of any member of the underclass equal to the most intelligent of society, but our public schools actually assert that the least intelligent and least capable is truly of essence equal.

Now we come to the issue of charity. Our quasi-socialist leftist Democracy asserts that we must redistribute the wealth of more-productive and more-intelligent to the underclass to fix the supposed injustice nature created by giving unequal abilities. Just as important as this though is that we must pretend the "injustice" does not exist, we must not acknowledge the inequality except in social terms. Because of this we manufacture lies so that we can step around the obvious natural reasons - we must make claim to social injustice and ignore the real natural "injustice".

This bureaucratized form of charity based on lies beats down our best individuals to the level of our least individuals. We do not allow the best a chance to practice charity on their own, but take their wealth by force and give it to the lesser - telling the lesser that they deserve it, that they are entitled!

By this process charity is undermined, its purpose destroyed. It removes any spiritual and genuine generosity. It turns what could have been a natural act of kindness into an act of violence. This modern "charity" is in reality theft. The state does the theft on behalf of the thief and moves any potential punishment to the victim. No feelings of generosity from the object of charity to the giver or even to society as a whole. The thief feels he deserves what has been stolen on his behalf, always demanding more. Further, this mechanized process never allows the giver to select a case for charity based on circumstances - it makes no distinction between those who may do well by charity and those who are parasites, or even those who it may actually do harm.

Our modern state destroys any possible good that could come from genuine charity. Further its destructive influence extends to cases outside those the state control. Should an individual, of his own accord, seek to make charity his act will be met with no generosity, but simply a demand for more until he too is just as "equal" as the lowest.

The modern world changes all things so as to remove anything truly good from them. Though that does not go far enough into the situation - the modern world actually invert and pervert all processes so that the meaning is thoroughly altered and what may have once done good now actually increases evil.

'Democratic Spirit'

The modern manifestation of Democracy assumes not only equality under law, but a fundamental and real equality that somehow rises beyond any genetic and environmental differences - and so also physical, education, character, intelligence, and moral differences.
For 'democracy' or the 'democratic spirit' (diabolical sense) leads to a nation without great men, a nation mainly of subliterates, morally flaccid from lack of discipline in youth, full of the cocksureness which flattery breeds on ignorance, and soft from lifelong pampering. And that is what Hell wishes every democratic people to be.
The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis, p. 206

I think a more accurate picture of the West would be hard to find. A nation without any great men for "I'm as good as you" rules the day. None may stand taller or smarter.

Only A Blip

While the ingredients for disaster have been brewing for a while, others have argued, and I tend to agree, that the the current leg of our journey can be marked as beginning in the early 1960's. For the sake of an estimate, let us say 1962.

In that frame, the close of 2012 will mark the 50th anniversary of our total and uninterrupted acceptance of "change" and "progress" towards modern humanistic goals like equality. The propaganda has convinced the masses that we are currently the pinnacle of human achievement. Our level of "progress" is the best mankind has achieved in all of history.

It is not worth reiterating here the failures, but only to point out how truly little of a blip this modern way is. This modern way most now assume is the only way, as if it could be no other way and must continue as such into the future.

While the following estimate is flawed, let us still conservatively mark the beginning of human history around 8,000 BC with agricultural communities in Mesopotamia. From that point, to today, we have an assumed 10,012 years of human civilization. Of that 10,012 years, only 50 represent the total ascension of modern leftism. So, it is commonly accepted that in 0.5% of our known timeline, in the middle of an incomplete experiment, we moderns are better simply because we exist now and not then. This presumed superiority does not extend to just a couple individuals, but the entire mass of modern humans and to all human endeavors - simply because we live now and believe in progress.

This assumption is certainly one of the most absolutely foolish and idiotic in history.

The Spiritual Path is An End In Itself

Some secular conservatives have acknowledged religion as good because of positive social and cultural outcomes associated with spirituality. This is not a positive direction. Spiritual pursuit must necessarily be the end in itself. Because the pursuit is good, you may know the truth by good side effects and outcomes, but those attributes must not be the reason to accept religion. The flaw here is placing truth in the material world and seeing religion as a materially expedient process. Truth, by its very meaning, must originate from a spiritual plane and material benefits are only secondary reflections of that truth.

Liberal humanism tries to devalue religion via this means. They selectively take an attribute (e.g. generosity) and attempt to remove anything from the religion that does not favor their pre-selected material goals. This may appear to be temporarily expedient, from any political perspective, but it can be quickly reduced to absurdity and nothingness when the desired attributes are asserted as more important than the actual pursuit of truth itself.

For a spiritual path to be pursued, the path itself is the purpose and the end. By necessity the pursuit of truth must not be used as a process towards material ends, but be the end in itself to a spiritual goal that transcends materialism. Positive outcomes in the material world, such as healthy families and honest people, are only a secondary reflection of higher spiritual truths.

This is not to say that material good should not be pursued, only that spiritual truth must not be corrupted for material ends. It is important not to confuse this as the two approaches are essentially opposed, with one leading to truth and the other only towards corruption.

Any New Breakthroughs to Save Modern Civilization?

Bruce Charlton makes an excellent point:
Essentially, modernity relies on many and frequent sci-tech breakthroughs to generate economic growth to fund ever-escalating levels of bribery/ distraction; until bureacratic parasitism and sclerosis kills the whole thing.
http://charltonteaching.blogspot.co.uk/2010/07/deep-satisfactions-in-life-charles.html

So the question is: are there any new breakthroughs left to save modern civilization?

You must remember, we depend not merely on sustaining the current levels, but the entire foundation of our modern civilization is intrinsically and essentially dependent on constant growth in technology, population, and thus economy.

What we require to even sustain our modern way and prevent imminent collapse: new energy technologies (e.g. effective and cheap solar panels), new ways to cheaply and effectively clean water, new ways to grow more resilient draught-resistent genetically-modified crops. On top of all that we also need to keep turning resources into products to sustain the consumer-based economy. Additionally, these technological advancements must always be of an ever-increasing scale and an ever-increasing increment to sustain an exponential growth of population.

So assuming we have the available geniuses, who despite all bureaucratic incompetence somehow rise to positions of influence, who actually make new significant breakthroughs: we must still accept the total collapse as inevitable. It is not a matter of whether or not it happens, but a matter of when.

To not collapse we would require limited resources to somehow become unlimitedly processable in ever-increasing quantities. This is an impossible contradiction. Additionally we require not just some geniuses, but an ever-increasing number of geniuses capable of ever-increasing feats of technological development not to collapse (all in a society that is both opposed to geniuses and purposefully subsidizes the growth of the least intelligent segments).

So do we have the necessary technology to postpone collapse another century? At this point, we certainly do not. It will be interesting to watch for significant new breakthroughs, but as time drags on and nothing is discovered the collapse will get ever closer.

There does seem one "hope" for the modern world: a large war, disease, or disaster which allows us to restart from a lower level with a far smaller population to resource ratio.  At the same time it would need to have the largest reductive impact on the most resource intensive and least intelligent population segments. We might then be capable another century of "growth" - like when the stock market begins rising again from a large setback where many bad companies went bankrupt. That is: the only hope for the modern world appears to be large-scale suffering which is exactly what the modern world is most inclined to avoid.

In the long run, the collapse of modern civilization appears unavoidable. No matter what happens in the short-term, we are on a dead-end path. Paradoxically the more we run from addressing these issues, the more we run from suffering, a greater and more painful suffering of an ever-increasing number of people will be the only result: starvation, war, selfishness for mere survival, etc.

The Slouching of Humanity

The pursuit of comfort is the anti-goal of the modern world and an essential attribute of our slow decay - our slouching towards a gaping void.

The focus of our people is on material comfort. The announced goal of our democratically elected salesmen: to provide more comfort for as many people as possible.

We are now all hospice patents on our deathbeds. Our own goal and the verbal goal of our caretakers: to ease the pain until we die. Not just any death, not a death with the hope of something after or even the fear of spiritual tragedy, but the death of nothingness - pure material decay.

Rejecting both the tragic heroism of our pagan ancestors and the eternal hope of a Christian afterlife - we dropped our gaze downward. We sat on the couch and never bothered getting up. Having no purpose in life, having no purpose in after-life, having no-thing except the present sensations of pleasure and pain, we have elected to flee from pain.

There are no goals worth pursuing nor hurdles to overcome. No hell to punish us. No God to reward us. Now we are bored - as little gods with equally worthless opinions we decided to distract ourselves for awhile until our equally pointless corpse finishes rotting away.

The Money Trap

Pure materialism is a dead end, but the majority sit in awe of it. It remains somewhat of a mystery. Perhaps it is meant to stay that way. The lure and appeal of something that they may never have, but once obtained it can not fundamentally be satisfied.

If there is nothing more in life than the pursuit, even relative, of material gain there will be no happiness found. Temporary and shallow joy that quickly fades at the most. Only extended via distraction and intoxication to hide the truth.

From a management perspective, this is an ideal state to keep the majority in though. If you want people willing to waste their lives in activity that is not to their true and ultimate benefit, keeping the behavior unsatisfied but with the impression that a little more could satisfy. It could be the optimum condition from a utilitarian perspective. That is, the horse's carrot-on-a-stick.

From a spiritual perspective, it is very wrong.

Not that this was a conscious decision by anyone or any group, but it is to some degree in effect now. The truth is, the current situation of greater material comfort is very harmful mentally, physically and spiritually to most people.

No matter how many cars we build, no matter how many highways we construction - the vast majority is going nowhere, while only managing to distract themselves and trample what is good in the process.

Evil as Falsehood and the Denial of Truth

Truth is the foundation of reality. Ultimate truth at the height of reality in totality. God is the pure truth we seek to understand.

Evil is present in modern affairs. Evil first inverts truth, then denies the ultimate existence of truth. That is, first it obscures what is most important, then once that is achieved it hides that truth is even possible.

These are the tactics at root of modern life. We have taken it further, with endless noise concealing the possibility of the question "is truth possible?", because the question itself may be quickly seen for a contradiction that can only lead to absurdity or the acceptance of ultimate truth. Here obscurity becomes necessary to evil, to accept that truth is available but invert and confuse the seeker. What was once bad is now good.

If we remain intelligent and ignore the distractions, we can accept truth exists. If we pierce the veil of obscurity and lies, we may begin our journey towards that truth.

Godspeed to you.

Noise Conceals

The modern age is filled with incessant noise and distractions. A core attribute is the unending quantity and constant production of noise.

Noise in this sense refers both to the actual quality of producing sound, but also the constant mental distractions that constantly demand attention. The products of our popular music, television, film, magazines, radio and more. These products always demand attention, always claim to communicate something important or desirable, but in reality offer nothing of value.

Value comes when these things are dismissed, blocked, turned off. Only then can you see what this noise has all along concealed. Only then can you get closer to reality.

Many fear this absence of noise. They fear this absence of information for consumption. They feel they need the television on - to fill a void.

The void is real. The void is the emptiness at the center of modern life. The void is the core incoherent belief of moderns that there is no God, there is no truth, there is no purpose to life. The void lies at the end of the left's all-consuming progress. The yawning void beckons to swallow everything and only the noise can block out this terrible truth.

Alternatively, eliminating the noise can finally put you back in touch with life. In the silence you may discover a reality that the media served to only cloud. You may discover that the void we were running away from all along does not have to be our only goal and that something greater lies at the height of all reality. That higher truth is what really gives life both meaning and purpose. The truth is what makes life coherent.
